Pelvic floor therapy
What is pelvic floor therapy?
Do you experience symptoms such as urinary leakage, pelvic pain, a heavy feeling in the pelvic area or difficulties with urination or bowel movements? Pelvic physiotherapy can help reduce these complaints and help you regain control over your body. In my practice for pelvic physiotherapy in Bussum, I look beyond the pelvic floor alone and focus on how the entire body works together.
The pelvic floor plays an important role in supporting the organs in the pelvis and controlling urination and bowel movements. At the same time, the pelvic floor works closely together with other muscles such as the abdominal muscles, hip muscles, back muscles and the diaphragm. When this coordination is disrupted, various symptoms can occur.
As a pelvic physiotherapist in Bussum, I therefore look at the bigger picture. During treatment we assess how your body moves, how your breathing and posture function, and how the muscles around the pelvis work together during daily activities such as walking, lifting, exercising or working. This broader approach often helps improve symptoms in a more sustainable way.
My goal is not only to reduce symptoms, but also to help you better understand your body and learn how to prevent complaints in the future. Together we work step by step towards recovery so you can move with confidence again in daily life.
