Martina Plunger

My passion for physical therapy grew when I was young. I used to ski on a high level, but the older I got, the more the injuries added up. As a result of this, I had to undergo a number of  different surgeries. During the rehabilitation periods I realized I would like to be a physical therapist myself, so after working in Austria and Switzerland as a massage therapist and sports instructor, I moved to the Netherlands to do my education for physical therapy (European school of Physiotherapy). After working in a private clinic for two years, together with Sigrid I opened in 2012.

Interests within physical therapy

During a treatment period, I like to use a holistic way to find the cause of a problem. I like to combine different techniques and integrate the patient into the process. Rather than specializing myself in to one field within physical therapy, I like to do different courses to be able to keep my mind open for new methods.
I do have a big interest in treating patients (oncolgogy patients but also patients with orthopedic problems) with manual lymphatic drainage massage, because not a lot of people know the effects on it and are very surprised by the positive outcome.
